NSPCC Workshop: Learning to Stay Safe Every Day

Last week, our boys took part in an engaging and empowering NSPCC workshop that helped them learn how to stay safe in their everyday lives. Through lively discussions and relatable real‑life scenarios, the boys explored how to recognise situations that don’t feel quite right and how to respond with confidence.

The session focused on helping pupils understand personal boundaries, trust their instincts, and know when and how to seek help from trusted adults. The boys were encouraged to speak openly, ask questions, and share their thoughts—reinforcing the message that it is always okay to speak up if something worries or confuses them.

This workshop forms an important part of Inchmarlo’s Preventative Curriculum, which is designed to equip every pupil with the knowledge, language, and confidence to keep themselves safe, both in school and beyond. By building these skills early, we help ensure that each boy understands his rights, feels empowered to ask for support, and knows that his voice matters.

The NSPCC workshop was a valuable and positive learning experience, and we are proud of how thoughtfully the boys engaged with these important topics.
