Welcome to Forest School
Nurturing confidence and curiosity, Inchmarlo Forest School fosters imagination, teamwork and a love for nature.
Our Forest School isn’t just a place—it’s an inspirational process where boys discover confidence, creativity and a lifelong respect for the natural world.
Inchmarlo was one of the first schools in Belfast to become recognised by NIFSA and we are proud to be in the position to invite other local schools to participate in forest school sessions in our wonderful grounds.
Nestled within our own school grounds, the woods become an ever-changing classroom. Every visit brings a new story and a different adventure. The boys learn to navigate their environment, building essential skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.
They might be building a den, using mathematical skills to measure and compare or sharpening their literacy by telling stories inspired by the world around them.
The boys develop their independence and self-esteem through hands-on activities, often without even realising they are mastering key academic and personal skills.
Our holistic approach encourages boy’s imaginations to soar while fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for nature. Inchmarlo Forest School is where boys can succeed, create, and build amazing memories that will last a lifetime.
