Primary 1

Welcome to P1

P1 at Inchmarlo is a nurturing, playful, inclusive, and inspiring – encouraging curiosity, confidence and lifelong learners.

RBAI Crest White Outline

P1 at Inchmarlo is a vibrant and nurturing start to school life, filled with creativity, exploration and practical learning.

Taught by Mrs O’Donnell, the boys enjoy a rich blend of activities including singing, painting, storytelling and games, all designed to support their development in literacy, numeracy, ICT and social skills.

The curriculum is topic – based, covering themes like family, Polar Lands, The Gruffalo and nature, with highlights such as Forest School where boys build shelters, create in the mud kitchen and explore the local environment.

Seasonal events like Christmas bring added excitement with role play in Santa’s workshop and festive performances. Phonics is introduced through interactive software, helping them build reading and writing skills early on.

P1 at Inchmarlo is truly a joyful and enriching beginning to a child’s educational journey.
