Performances and Productions

Pupils have numerous opportunities to perform throughout the year, developing their confidence in front of an audience.

Harvest service, annual Carol Service (held in St. John’s Church Malone), and the Spring Recital.

A whole-school musical production held in the summer term. Recent acclaimed performances include Oliver, Little Shop of Horrors, Bugsy Malone, Beauty and the Beast, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Ensembles and Extracurricular Opportunities

Pupils can develop their team skills and repertoire by joining one of the school’s many ensembles

  • Inchmarlo School Choir: Open to P5-P7 boys, rehearsing weekly. With almost 50 members, the choir covers a varied repertoire from sacred music to pop, rock, and musical theatre.
  • Inchmarlo Orchestra: Open to instrumentalists from Grade 1 upwards, conducted by Mrs McMichael. They play a wide range of music from classical (Beethoven) to modern (John Williams, Queen).
  • School Brass Band: Conducted by Mr A Sayers, the band has achieved notable success, including winning the Portadown Festival a record number of times.
  • Flute Ensemble: Conducted by Mr K Levi, performing at key events like the Carol Service and Spring Recital.

Prestigious Choir Performances

The Inchmarlo School Choir has performed at many high-profile venues, including:

  • The Ulster Hall, Belfast
  • The Waterfront Hall, Belfast (for the RBAI Bicentenary Concert)
  • The SSE (Odyssey) Arena, Belfast (with Robbie Williams on his ‘Swing Both Ways’ U.K Tour)
  • Performances with local star Peter Corry and renowned choir Cappella Caeciliana.
  • The choir are currently preparing for the Peace Proms which will be held at the SSE Arena on 1st March 2026.
