Junior Sports Day at Inchmarlo Prep was a sun-soaked celebration of energy, laughter, and community spirit. The school grounds buzzed with excitement as boys took part in a series of novelty races that brought out their playful side. From the bouncy chaos of the kangaroo jumping race to the careful concentration of the “walk the plank” challenge, each event was met with cheers and giggles. The minibeast race had little ones crawling like caterpillars and fluttering like butterflies, while the “big foot” race—where teams had to coordinate their steps on oversized trainers —was a hilarious test of balance.
Adding to the fun, parents eagerly joined in the action, with the sack race proving to be a crowd favourite. Laughter echoed across the field as mums and dads hopped their way to the finish line, some more gracefully than others. The “waiter service” race, where boys balanced trays while dashing across the grass, showcased impressive poise and determination. With the sun shining brightly and families gathered in support, the day was a joyful reminder of the importance of play, participation and shared memories in the school community.
Thank you to IPA Chairperson Mrs Forrester for presenting the prizes.
