Scout Parents’ Night 2022

Friday, October 14th saw the Scout Group’s first in-person Parents’ Night for 3 years. The event went very well with a full Dining Hall of over 200 hundred people. A highlight of the evening was the excitement brought by the Beavers attending for the first time ever!

The boys of the Group reported on the Scouting activities from last year including our Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Qualifying Expedition to The Lake District. New Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers were invested into the Movement while Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network were moved on into new Sections. All the boys received badges and awards before the Group trophies were awarded at the end of the evening.

Thanks go to the parents for their support in enabling so many boys to enjoy the Scout Group’s programme of activities throughout the year. Thanks also go to the leaders and helpers for making the evening and the Scout activities possible. On the evening, thanks go to District Commissioner Mr Norman McKee, Deputy Headteacher Miss Selby, Vice-Principal Mr Peak, Lady Bloomfield MBE and Headteacher Mrs Morwood for presenting badges, awards and trophies.
