Flahavan’s Cross Country Finals

On the 22nd of January Inchmarlo went to Mallusk to compete in the Flahavan’s cross country finals, where the competition was fierce. There was 18 schools competing with 210 boys. The start line was ferocious and the other competitors would do anything to get that gold medal. When the whistle blew boys sprinted to get a good position, and our team started off well. We stuck together as a pack for most of the race, then we started to split up and we sprinted to the end from about 100 metres away. We placed 14th out of 28 schools finishing ahead of Methody, Campbell, Downshire and Strandmillis. The boys came in as this order 1st Robbie Mcareavey 2nd Rocco Steen 3rd James Agnew 4th Sam Holmes 5th Luke Crothers and Jack Coulter who didn’t finish due to a knee injury.
